Helferlein

Helferlein is an animated figure a page can keep nearby. It has a head, a face, a body, and arms, and it floats. The page summons it when there is something to show, and dismisses it when that moment is over.

Summoned, it swoops out of a small resting form and idles while it waits. While work is in progress it holds a working pose. When the result is on the page, it turns around, and a new look appears while its back faces you. That look changes the color and one or two other parts: the body, the face, the clothes, a tool, or an extra such as a hat. Then it turns back. Dismiss it and it folds into the corner.

This page is a sample of that, and the chat does not call a model. Click the figure, type a message, and watch the pose and the turn. The wardrobe is where you pick the parts yourself. There, Randomize and the part buttons play the same turn, and the hue slider changes the color at once.
